Completed Kits #19: Full Armour Gundam Ver Logic

Had a lot of fun building this, it was a good bit of practice scratch building.

Anyway the whole thing is put together with polystyrene sheets and tubes and held together with magnets. I kept sanding pretty rough to keep things really matte and finished with the paint as matte as I possibly could. The paints and pigments that I used were all Vallejo (they're what my hobby shop carries).

And one with a RG Zaku for scale.

RG Zakus WIP #4

The end date is coming so I pretty much applied my entire weekend to the task at hand.

Anyway, paint! Lots of Paint! Decided on a bit of red for the shoulders and three shades of purple and some grey. Still needs a flat coat and then lots of photos not taken with my cell phone.

RG Zakus WIP #3

A good heap of progress this time around.

The first thing I've done is mod the fore arms to feature some large bore cannons, inspired by those on the Gelgoog Marine.
I wanted them to line up up with the old school Zaku look so I've aimed for something clip loaded and really bulky.

Next up were some "heat axes"  they are big and hefty inspired by the Zaku Amazing of Build Fighters fame (they're called "Heat Nata" I guess). Additionally I've mounted them onto the Zaku II S backpack which I felt was a better look for this.

Full Armour Gundam Ver Logic WIP #6

Little more progress, I have both messed up the paint and tidied it up a little, just need a flat coat now.

Not sure that it actually looks at all good, but I quite like the effect: burnt, singed, but with a few repairs scattered about.

Full Armour Gundam Ver Logic WIP #5

Progress!
I've done some of the weathering, I still have a few more ideas I'd like to implement before I get this setup with a stand and call it done.

One idea, I'd like to implement is, given the scale of this monstrosity to be 1:2500 it would need to be repainted piecemeal. So there would be little square patches of fresh paint where it has been burnt or rusted off.

RG Zakus WIP #2

Feels like more progress!
I've sealed up the holes in the upper legs where the pipes were.

The backpack has been similarly sealed.

I then worked out a new fin for the head, and a collar heavily inspired by AoZ's Stutzer.

And finally I've gotten some work done on the chest section as well.

Since the pressure is one for ZakuAurelius' Contest, I'll be focusing my efforts on getting this one done first.
