HG Hyakuri Bastion WIP #4

More Progress! which is good because I'm running out of time for this one.
Anyway, got some primer, paint, decals, weathering and flat coat on there.

For primer I used Vallejo German Grey, and for paint I used Vallejo Ferrari Red, three shades of grey: Engine, Light, and Sea, and for metallics I used Vallejo Chrome, Steel, and Copper. The decals are a rather mix and match affair, after that I weathered a little bit with a Tamiya weathering set. All followed up with a Vallejo Matte Coat.

I'm pretty pleased with how its looking right now,

HG Hyakuri Bastion WIP #3

Been kind of goofing around with overlapping armour made out of pla-plate, I thought it would be a good look for the side skirts. So I scratch built these out of thin sheets of pla-plate and attached them with a magnet. After getting them on the hips I figured I would check out how it would look with the shoulder and hip armour swapped and weirdly I think it actually may look better for it.

From there I tacked on a few more thrusters under the shoulder and hip armour (they're very swap-able at this point) and built some aggressive elbows in the vague-styling of a tanto blade.

HG Hyakuri Bastion WIP #2

So I've been working on this almost constantly since the last WIP post but I suck at keeping it updated properly.

I've toyed with the idea mounting the machine guns off of the backpack for a gun cannon type look, but I tossed that idea It just didn't feel like a good fit. Anyway, from there I've tried to re-sculpt a few things like bulking up the lower legs and I've added a panel line to the thigh to disguise the seam line there. I'd like to think that I've made a few tweaks to the head sculpt to give it a more aggressive look.

On a side note, I'm pretty pleased with how well it can stand up on its own.
