Project WarMachine WIP Weeks 3 to 7

All right, I've got a bit more work more work done on it.
The right forearm is a little different now, I've added an attachment point for Koto's Strong Rifle and plenty of pla-plate to bulk up the arm to match a bit better.

I've done some work on the right shoulder as well, sealing it up I've added some rectangular vents front and back in addition to some pla-plate to reshape a few things.

So I've gotten a little bit more done, its been slow going its Mid-term season and I've gotten a lot of snow that needed to be shovelled.

So the first thing that I worked on was the left arm (I figure that left and right can switch if I don't like how things are balancing). Basically I have filled in the hole in the arm where the beam sabre was with pla-plate.

I also started work on a shield scratch built with pla-plate and tubes.

I modified one of the Strike IWSPs Anti-Ship Swords into a long modified Tanto style blade. This I intend to attach to the left shoulder to keep things asymmetrical.

I've got plenty more work to do on the left shoulder and shield yet.

So with what both of you said I cut into the other IWSP sword and made a much shorter modified drop-point to fit within the shoulder sheath and I'll move the large tanto into a rear skirt sheath.

My take on the modified drop-point doesn't look to be proportionally equivalent to a Bowie in my eyes, but it fits quite nicely. I grabbed up my own Bowie to check up the shape of Nu's knife, and like Red said it needed to be sharper.

I've cobbled together a few more odds and ends from the IWSP pack to make a double barrelled rifle inspired by Gundam X Divider. I don't think I'm done with the rifle yet it could use a few more details especially where I've used pla-plate to get things held together.

I've been working on the front and rear skirts for the past couple of days, I tacked the knife sheath to the rear skirt. I've swapped the rear skirts to the front and the front to the rear.

At some point I came to the conclusion that Nu would look way better with longer side skirts so I did that, by splitting one of Nu's funnels and trimming it to my desired length.

The second thing I did was add a bit of pla-plate to the upper legs just to add a little more definition, I'll probably add some rivets there and on the front skirts tomorrow.

I've hit Exam time so I'm moving a little bit slower than I usually do. What I have done is cut the toe of the foot off, added pla-plate to replace the bottom and then altered the bi-pods from 2 Strong Rifle sets to form a split articulated toe.

I also have been working to install larger thrusters in the back of the calf, so I cut the pegs and glued them up.

This is my HGUC GM Cannon II, I snapped it over the summer of 2011 and then painted it in early September of the same year. It is painted up in its original colour scheme as seen in Stardust Memories, you can see more of this kit and others on Gundam Eclipse.

Notes:

AEUG - The Anti-Earth Union Group (エゥーゴ) is a resistance movement formed to fight the dictator-like Titans in space. The term "anti-Earth" is actually a misnomer; the AEUG is a political faction within the Earth Federation, but more "anti-Earth elitist" than anti-Federation government. Throughout the Gryps Conflict, the AEUG attempts to wrestle the Federation government's support away from the Titans. The AEUG also had a sister organization on Earth, Karaba, with the same goals.

Titans - (ティターンズ Titānzu) is an organization first introduced in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam anime TV series. It is also featured in Gundam Sentinel and Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans. Titans was an elite unit of the Earth Federation Forces established in U.C. 0083 after the conclusion of Operation Stardust. Their original intention was to defend the Earth Federation against supporters of the Principality of Zeon, as well as to investigate Zeon sympathizers. However, they eventually turned rogue, allying themselves with Axis Zeon in order to fight against the AEUG in an attempt to gain control over the Earth Sphere. They were all but wiped out by the AEUG at the end of the Gryps Conflict.

Karaba - (カラバ) is the Earth-based form of resistance to the Titans.

Project WarMachine WIP Weeks 1 and 2

I've got my kit lined up, I'll still be painting 3 LBX kits and 2 SDs before I get to this in
terms of paint but I can definitely start with mods now.

I'm not quite sure how I'll fit the "Five" theme in yet but I noticed that this will actually be the 5th MG that I have ever painted. My plans so far are to create an MS that matches my name "WarMachine", I've got missile racks for one side and an extra large gattling for the other, I'm hoping to figure out some proper flame throwers for one side too.

This one isn't the exact idea that I have but it conveys it well enough.

The detachable fuel tank is a little better now, though I think it could still be missing something....

So, I've also started work on Nu's gargantuan head, the crest is gone and the faceplate can be removed separately. I think I might aim for a more Zeta-like face plate.

I kind of decided to add a bit more pla-plate and round up the area behind that thrust to make it seem like it attaches more fluidly, I've also added a few little rectangular vents down near the end.

So admittedly the head looks really ugly at this moment the crest is cut off and sealed off with some black pla-plate (it was the thinnest stuff I had on hand) which makes it look kind of like Mr. T.

Alright, this is what I've got so far the head still doesn't look quite right, I've smoothed things down more thoroughly added a command antenna (kinda like Cherudim's) and sharpened up the face plate (its falling off in most of the pictures though).

I've started work on the chest, so far I have removed the vents capped the gap in the exterior armour with pla-plate and added a smaller missile launcher unit to the chest.

Got a little more done mostly chest components, I armoured up the cockpit hatch and added a little more asymmetry to it with a small missile rack on the right and just some extra plating on the left.

I've started something with the shoulders, I've got a few ideas it just a matter of implementing things right.

Pre-Blog Kits #11: HGUC Gelgoog Blitz

I started this kit on April 23, 2011 and finished it on April 24, 2011, completed in just under 18 hours and I had been struggling to name it for an equally long time. My plan for this kit to fit the theme of, "In the Blink of an Eye" for a contest that was running at the time. My idea was not only to create a fast looking MS but also build and mod it quickly.

Therefore I present the Gelgoog Blitz.

Notes:

MS-14[JG2] Gelgoog Blitz - is a prototype fast attack mobile suit based off of the Gelgoog Jager. The Blitz being designed to deliver devastating Blitzkrieg attack it became a close to mid-range MS and would need to be able to close distances "In the Blink of an Eye" to manage this, the Blitz was equipped with more thrusters, and greater fuel reserves in the form of a large booster pod.

Pre-Blog Kits #10: HG Eins Quadruped

The Eins Quadruped, is a kit-bash using bits from all three of the HG Gundam Throne units inspired by the quadleg designs from the Armored Core series as well as the craziness that students often associate with exam time. This kit was completed on December 15, 2011, between my first and second exams of the fall term in an effort to break up the monotony I decided it would be cool to do something just for the fun of it, with a bit of scratch-building and pla-plating.
