They actually posted how they scored everyone about a month after the show, if recollection serves I lead by half a point out of thirty.

Completed Kits #32: HGBD No-Name Astray
I'm not entirely sure how I forgot to post this, it was done like 6 months ago. It was done pretty quickly. I hadn't really documented a work-in-progress for it but I had tried to keep it very tidy and a few minimal mods. To my complete surprise when I took this to a local hobby show it got Gold, and Best in Class Sci-Fi/Fantasy Figures and Best in Class Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I was more than a little bit surprised/baffled. This is the first time I have ever done this well at a hobby show.

Completed Kits #31: HG Graze Ritter Sniper Custom
A friend gave me this kit, I did a little bit of tweaking
using the parts that came with it. I used all four of the backpack thruster
parts that are intended for the normal graze pace type. Then I've modified the
shoulders from the Ritter parts, I've shortened them a lot. I then cut the
barrel of the rifle and replaced it with a barrel twice the length and
scratched a scope to go with. I cut a hole in the sword and inserted a laptop
HDD screw. Magnets under both side skirts then a bit of brass rod on the left
side skirt to hold the sword in just the right place.
For paint I've used
-Vallejo Surface Primer Gray
-Vallejo Model Air German Gray
-Vallejo Model Air Light Gray
-A mix of Vallejo Model Air Red RLM23 and Vallejo Model Air
Off White for the sensors
-Vallejo Model Air Metallic Signal Red
-Vallejo Metal Color Jet Exhaust for frame parts
-Vallejo Metal Color Dull Aluminum
-Vallejo Polyurethane Matt Varnish

Completed Kits #30: Vidar Custom
Been pretty swamped with work, this has been done for a while its just been a matter of actually posting it up. I did a pretty basic colour swap, some light weathering and a few minor mods to fill it out a little bit. I had kind of intended a slightly brighter colour of purple but this plum colour panned out quite nicely.

Completed Kits #29: Barbatos Lupus Custom
It has taken me forever to post this and I think its going to take me even longer to get to the Vidar and Astray that I took to the show as well. So I did a pretty basic colour swap, some light weathering and a few minor mods to fill it out a little bit. The shield is scratch built and mounted with the left arm gun components. I removed most of the visible seams, added Kotobukiya MSG thruster bells and Bandai fuel tanks to the backpack.
For paint I've used
-Vallejo Surface Primer Gray
-Vallejo Model Color Sky Blue for sensors on the head
-Vallejo Model Air German Gray
-Vallejo Model Air Beige
Vallejo Model Air Red RLM23
-A mix of Vallejo Model Air Red RLM23 and Vallejo Model Air Yellow
-Vallejo Model Air Metallic Signal Red
-Vallejo Metal Color Jet Exhaust
-Vallejo Metal Color Dull Aluminum
-Vallejo Polyurethane Matt Varnish

CAMS 2019
This last Saturday I attended a local hobby show for what I think is the sixth time now. This was the Capital Area Modelers Society 31st Annual Spring Classic Scale Model Show.
There were more Sci-Fi and Fantasy entries this year than I have seen to date, it was great. There were a few people missing from previous years but not without good reason. I'll probably see them next year.
Like all of my previous years I entered four kits. Two 1/100 IBO kits that I had built as a matched set, Vidar and Barbatos Lupus both with some light modifications, colour scheme and some light weathering. Again I would have really liked to have done some diorama type stuff for these two but I was running short on time as usual and I came to the conclusion that I need more space.
I still need to post some completed photo galleries for both of these very soon.
A friend gave me this HG 1/144 Graze Ritter kit and I decided pretty early on that I would build, modify it and paint. Enter the show with it and then return it to him.

Completed Kits #28: HGBF Amazing Zeta 40/40
So, around a month ago, I built this a 40 hour build to
celebrate 40 years of Gundam. It has taken far too long to take photo, its been
a chaotic month. Anyway, here is my Amazing Zeta 40/40.
